Margrove Valley Childhood Memory Walk

 Join us on a childhood memory walk as part of our Heritage Lottery Funded project Where the Wild Things Were. Starting at the Old Margrove Park School we will take a circular walk around the Margrove Valley exploring memories of school, childhood adventures and exploration of the countryside. Discover nature learning in the 50's and 60's, childhood life in a mining community and how children got up close and personal with nature.  Changes to the local scenery will be explored through archive photos and maps.  We stop to look at wildfowl and other birds along the way.
