For Schools

Our work is not just about wildlife, it’s about people too.

Our Passion for Igniting Inspiration

We have a real passion for inspiring people about the natural world, and we strongly believe in igniting the inspiration in every child.
We design our sessions around engaging and involving each child, helping them to actively learn in their own way.
Our programmes are all designed to bring children face to face with nature, enabling us to bring learning to life and leave each child bursting with enthusiasm.

Lifelong Learning

We work to develop partnerships with many different schools, businesses and councils to
provide more opportunities for children and young people to learn about and enjoy the
environment and sustainable living. We have run highly successful programmes in
conjunction with partners, local councils, and work with hundreds of schools across our
region every year.

What We Do

We provide a wide range of services across the region; you can visit our educational nature space
Woodhill Meadows and enjoy a wide range of programmes for Nursery, Key stage 1 and Key stage
2 pupils. Activities available include: Teddy Bears Picnic, Habitat Detectives and Pond dipping.
You can visit one of our nature reserves through Environmental stewardship. We offer practical
environmental tasks for young people and support the John Muir Award. We also run a range of
outreach services; one of our dedicated officers will visit your school and deliver a wide range of
programmes which can be tailored to your needs.

Share Our Passion and Our Expertise

Would you like to share some of our expertise? We run training sessions for teachers to advise on
Eco Schools Awards and the Sustainable Schools Framework. We also provide consultancy for school
grounds development and can advise on introducing outdoor curriculum linked activities into your school. If you would like more information, please email us.
