Celebrations at Trust AGM

The Trust AGM was held at   Margrove Heritage Centre on Thursday 26th September 2013. It was attended by over 30 people and the Trust had lots to celebrate. Chief Executive, Jeremy Garside did a short review of the Year which included the news that the Portrack Waders had won a prestigious BiffaAward Award which was presented to the Trust at an award ceremony this week in Birmingham

Reserve Officer Daniel van den Toorn  reported back on a successful year on the reserves including over a km of path improved at Portrack using 120 tonnes of recycled blast furnace slag , a new dipping platform as well as 2 shell nesting areas for terns and other birds. The Trust volunteer teams have been growing from strength to strength and he expressed his gratitude to them and the incredible impact they make on the ability of the Trust to achieve is objectives.

The evening finished on a high note with a presentation to three long term volunteers who between them had 60 years of volunteering – Mal Liddell, Mike Herring and Len Toulson.Len awardMal awardMike awardGroup award
