Help us preserve valuable meadow grassland at Middle Marsh Nature Reserve

Birds-foot trefoil in the Middle Marsh meadow with Ormesby Clock Tower in the background

In 75 years we have lost 97% of our wildflower meadows contributing to dramatic declines in hedgehogs, birds, bats and insects.

For this event we will be raking the cut meadow so that the cuttings don’t biodegrade and add more nutrients to the soil, this will reduce the virility of grass species and increase native wildflower coverage in the meadow.

This in turn increases the biodiversity of the meadow, improving the site for people and nature.
