- Uphold the charity’s legal and regulatory obligations
- Ensure resources are used effectively to further its charitable objectives
- Contribute to strategic planning, policy setting, and performance evaluation
- Represent the Trust positively at meetings and public events
Commitment
- Attend quarterly evening meetings
- Engage in occasional events and communications beyond formal meetings
- Minimum of five hours a month commitment
- Long-term, ongoing voluntary role
Qualities and skills
- Genuine enthusiasm for local wildlife and environmental conservation
- Sound judgment and ability to make informed decisions
- Useful (but not essential) experience in management, finance, HR, marketing, communications, or environmental sectors
- Strong communication skills for collaborative discussions
Structure
- Up to 15 trustees, including Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary (Honorary Officers)
Location
- Meetings held at Margrove Heritage Centre; events across the Tees Valley
