How we are managed
Leadership and governance
Tees Valley Wildlife Trust is guided by a voluntary Trust Council and supported day to day by a dedicated staff team. Together with volunteers, they ensure the Trust delivers meaningful, lasting outcomes for wildlife and for people.
Trust Council
The Trust Council is made up of up to 15 trustees, appointed from the membership. As directors of the company and trustees of the charity, they hold ultimate responsibility for the organisation.
Trustees oversee the strategic direction of Tees Valley Wildlife Trust, ensuring it is financially sound, well-governed and delivering its charitable purpose for public benefit. They safeguard the long-term future of the Trust and make sure it remains focused on protecting wildlife across the Tees Valley.
Review and Development Group
The Review and Development Group is a sub-group of Trust Council. It brings together trustees, Trust members and representatives from partner organisations.
The group supports the development of projects and programmes, reviews performance and delivery, and advises on organisational policy and procedure. Its role helps ensure that the Trust’s work remains effective, accountable and forward-looking.
If you are interested in joining Trust Council or the Review and Development Group, please contact Tees Valley Wildlife Trust on 01287 636382 or email [email protected].
