About the event

A brilliant location for spotting urban nature, our Portrack and Maze Park reserves are full of interesting flora and fauna - a wild haven in the heart of the Tees Valley.

Our Portrack Reserve is a SSSI - a Site of Special Scientific Interest. SSSIs are legally protected areas in the UK representing important wildlife and geological sites. They protect rare species, habitats, and earth science features. We're lucky to have this wild space on our patch and can't wait to share it with you.

We’ll be joined by experts from Cleveland Naturalists Field Club who will share their expert knowledge of this site and its natural history.

Whether you’re already familiar with the site or will be visiting for the first time, you’ll be very welcome.

This is a free walk. Donations welcome via our website. No booking required - just turn up. Everyone welcome.

Dress for the weather and wear suitable clothing and footwear for walking.
