Please make sue you check online to make sure the walk is going ahead due to weather.

We will be looking for Common and Nathusius pipistrelles along the East Cleveland coastline.

The Nathusius pipistrelle is the Uk's only migratory bat species and is very under recorded.

We will walk out to Guibal fan house to collect a bat detector, listening and surveying for bats on en route. We will be walking along the top of the cliff on the outward journey but on the return journey, when the light is fading, we will walk down to the sand dunes. There are steep steps down to the san dunes and then an incline to get back up to the wildlflower meadows before returning to the car park.

Walking boots are ESSENTIAL as the ground is uneven and may be muddy/slippy.

Please meet at St Helen's Car Park, Skinningrove/Carlin How.
