Moth Night

Always thought moths were dull brown creatures that only came out at night? Prepare to be amazed through this unique opportunity to get up close and personal with these creatures of the night.

Come and learn in a friendly and informative environment about woodland moths and their identification with Paul Forster a moth enthusiast. Special moth traps will be up and running in the grounds behind our centre to attract moths which can then be examined in detail. Participants will be able to investigate colours, shapes, patterns and camouflage of moths, ranging in size from micro-moths to large hawk moths, to gain a new appreciation of the amazing variety and diversity of moths.
