15th March 2018, 10:00am1:00pm

Starting at the library we will take a circular walk around Skelton exploring memories of childhood adventure and exploration through oral history recordings. Discover the importance of gardening classes, the primo sledging spots, what not to do with a fireworks banger and what used to happen in the woods! Changes to the local scenery will be explored through archive photos and maps. Participants will be tasked with recording the wildlife seen and sharing their own memories of childhood adventures.
Please dress warmly and appropriately for being outdoors in the winter and wear appropriate footwear. Footpaths may be wet and muddy and certain sections are quite steep. Walking sticks are recommended. Bring a hot drink and a snack and don’t forget your camera.
